‘’LET’S MAKE ETAMINE’’ PROJECT PLAN

1. First of all we introduce ourselves and the places that we live in to get to know each other better.

P.S. : All the patterns will be drawn to checkered paper at first.

2. Since it is ‘Pi’ day, on 14th March, we stitch Pi ‘’π’’ on etamine.

We share a number of digits that make up the π number and each pupil stitch one digit on one etamine. Then we send the etamines each other by mail, take photos of them to print on t-shirts. After that students design their own patterns and stitch them on etamines as a second activity for this month.

3. We give them a traditional pattern and they stitch it on etamine in April. Later, they may turn it into pillows, bookmarks or pictures.

4.We give them the ratio of the total number of crosses that they stitch and the number of crosses that they stitch with colored thread in May. First they solve this problem and then they design their patterns and stitch it.

5.Finally we organize an exhibition to show the products at our own schools. We send the traditional patterns that we made on the 3rd step each other and exhibit them also.This is the finale of our project.
